# Profile Launchpad > A single-page website that helps anyone (originally built for a UK consultant radiologist) create and set up online profiles on common platforms quickly. It lists platforms with sign-up and edit-profile links, stores a reusable "master profile kit" (name, headline, bios, handles) and tracks progress. All personal data stays in the visitor's own browser (localStorage); nothing is sent to any server. The site never creates accounts or logs in anywhere. ## Files - [index.html](index.html): The whole website in one file. Sections: Master profile kit (text fields with Copy buttons), Platforms (cards grouped by category with "Create account" and "Edit profile" links, bio limit, photo size and a "Done" tick box), Handle availability checklist (one row per platform where the username is user-chosen), progress bars, category show/hide switches (saved per browser; hidden categories are excluded from lists and progress), and backup/restore of browser data. Anyone can use the site; each visitor's data stays in their own browser. It loads links.json when hosted; it also contains an identical embedded copy of links.json (inside the script tag with id "platform-data") used when the file is opened directly from a computer. - [links.json](links.json): Machine-readable list of every platform. For each: id, name, category, purpose, signup_url, edit_profile_url, profile_url_pattern, handle_checkable, bio_limit, bio_type, headline_limit, photo_size, banner_size, notes, verify. The "field_guide" object at the top explains each field. - [README.md](README.md): Plain-English instructions for the owner, including how to publish with GitHub Pages and how to add platforms. - llms.txt: This file. ## Categories professional (Professional / Academic), social (Social), publishing (Publishing), identity (Link-in-bio / Identity), medical (Medical / Radiology). ## Important notes for AI agents - The "verify" array on each platform lists fields that were NOT confirmed against the platform. No URL was click-tested when the list was built (the build environment could not reach these websites). Do not present any of these values as confirmed. - In profile_url_pattern: {handle} = user-chosen username, {id} = platform-assigned ID, {server} = Mastodon server. - To add or change a platform: edit links.json AND the embedded copy inside index.html (script id "platform-data") so both stay identical. Keep the same field names. Add to "verify" anything you cannot confirm. - Never add passwords, personal data, patient information, API keys or secrets to any file in this repository. - Do not create accounts or log in to platforms on the owner's behalf.
